The 25-year-old climber has managed to free solo one of the iconic Patagonian peaks just a pair of climbing shoes, a bag of chalk and pure skill.
This achievement puts Jim in front of Alex Honnold in claiming the biggest free solo of the year. Incredibly, Jim not only successfully climbed up the technical 5,000-foot tall route on Cerro Fitz Roy without any safety gear, but he also down-climbed the same route without assistance too. Crazy!
